Absolute scam

Absolute scam. I cancelled years ago and they have been charging me regardless. Tried to solve it with their help but no use. They also make it harder to cancel again as you can't do it on the mobile but have to get to a desktop version. Avoid!

Used to be good, NOT ANYMORE im really disappointed, the experts are probably some random kids I DONT REALLY KNOW HOW DO YOU PICK YOUR "EXPERTS" they all ARE JUST COPY PASTING THE ANSWERS FROM ANOTHER So they are really just reading the first 3 words of the question then they are just like " oh they are the same questions let me just copy this experts's answer and that's it" BRO ARE YOU SERIOUS?? Chegg charged my credit card for 6…

Chegg charged my credit card for 6 years for a subscription that I never used but had clicked the free trial button when purchasing a textbook. However they won’t refund more than 3 months even though I haven’t logged on in 5 years.
Beware of their scams.

I was having issues with signing up for the premium writing subscription

I was having issues with signing up for the premium writing service. After contacting support they tried giving me solutions that ended up not working, this isn't a problem because they can't control everything. My main issue was when I would go to try a solution my conversation would be transferred to another person. I was then told to try downloading the app since I was using a computer. After I got the app it asked me to purchase the Study Pack. After I asked support if the study pack included the writing pack, they told me that it did. When I still wasn't able to get access to my desired program and contacted them again I was told that the study pack DIDN'T include the writing pack. After some more troubleshooting, the support employee (Crystal) and I finally got it to work. This was a really long process that was super stressful, the website just told me to try again later and after 12 hours I finally tried reaching out for help. The "Text Us!" number on their website didn't work and after googling my problem I found a facebook post with the same issue and Chegg replied saying to message them on their facebook page. I feel that the fact I had to reach out on facebook after looking for a way to chat with them for 30 min is pretty annoying. I really do appreciate the help I got from the support team since they were trying, but having to pay for the study pack only to find out I didn't need it is very annoying.

Don't order books from here!

Worst website to order books from! Doesn't give an option for faster shipping! Customer service sucks and doesn't help you at all! One person told me an access code comes with the newer books so I had to order ANOTHER book just to come to find out that it doesn't come with an access code. I tried to cancel my order the guy told me I couldn't you have to cancel it in 30 minutes it definitely wasn't over 30 minutes. Your better off getting your books from the college then this website definitely not worth the headache.

Expensive and wrong answers

Used this service to help with one of my engineering papers.

90% of the questions i posted came back with a wrong answer.

Very expensive service to pay for as a student when the questions come back wrong.

Chegg has Charged me as $21.75 every months as I cancelled my subscription months ago

I have cancelled my subscription last time as well. Still every moth you people charged me for no reason. Today I cancelled again. I need confirmation as my credit card is on your file. I don't like this process when someone ended your subscription then you chegg people who work on customer don't work on the process we as a student attempt

Chegg has been charging my account for…

Chegg has been charging my account for over a year, I never used it. I just realized that I was being charged. They told me the service was non-refundable.

They should change their policies to refund those who don't use the service. After all, if the service is not being used, the company isn't spending any resources on paying clients. I asked to have some months credited (So I would use the service) since the refund option is not available, that also was not an option.

Their customer base is STUDENTS, people who usually do not have many funds. Chegg, shame on you for having such unforgiving policies.

1st experience and it will be the last one with this company. This could be my fault doing business again with Chegg but never again am I going to them. Their algorithms for detecting multiple users on an account are so backwards. When I spoke with them they told me there's no record showing you are shared your account and your account is active but they lied. If you work and study on your work computers you'll have to reset your password every 4 seconds. If you use library or lab computers you'll also have to reset your password, because Chegg thinks you're account sharing. If you use a VPN you'll be blocked from accessing the site. Finally, if you complain about any of it you'll have your Chegg account deleted with no refund. They also get sneaky about billing you extra too. Also Using Chegg is a risk to your academic career, your school can contact Chegg at any time and get exactly what you accessed and looked at and time you're on. Basically if you use anything other than buying books, you can get in trouble for cheating. Chegg will throw you under the bus. Their customer service lady was rude and kept talking to me like I was wasting her time when I kept telling her why my account suspended. Chegg doesn't care! Once they got your money their opinion is, "Tough luck suckers! We just got at least one month of fees out of you. More if you don't take the hours to unsubscribe." Joke site! Enter at your own risk, some people like to learn the hard way. Chegg is like a really small scam. They provide tutorial but they just steal your money even after you stopped the contract. If anyone Is reading this DON'T MAKE AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. They are not even responding to my emails.

They must be scam because they steal your money. They are one of the most difficult companies on the internet to contact; that in itself tells you about their dishonest dealings.
